doing the dishes will not save your marriage

I don’t believe that doing the dishes will save your marriage or not talking or losing weight or scheming but possibly putting out may have more potential for this cause.  I read an article in Wall Street Journal The Secret to a Happy Marriage: Do the Dishes, Put Out, Don’t Talk So Much which is from a book which was obviously written one weekend for a lark.  The author couldn’t be serious… but here are her secrets to a happy marriage:

who do you love?

a new study was published recently saying that one in five adults are in love with someone other than their partner.   Are so…many people are not fulfilled in their current relationship that they must find satisfaction with another partner?  Are they not committed enough to their current partner?  Or were they not selective enough when they initially got together?  Or have they changed so much whilst they have been in the relationship that their partner no longer fits as they did at the start?  This is amazing to me as I have preferred my own company to a relationship with anyone who is not a good match and whom I did not love.  Obviously I have been living in the dark, like a mushroom???

the era of techno romance

romance may have been relegated to romantic comedies these days and ostensibly has changed considerably from the past.  However there is still a need for romance in our relationships.  If we have sacrificed adventure in life then we need to bring that spirit of adventure back into our romances. But it seems that we are marching ever onwards continuing to remove the romance from our relationships?

does math lead to love?

these days maths, due to its relationship with geeks & technology, may appear to solve many modern problems.  I read recently a paper ‘Why I Don’t Have a Girlfriend’ where a guy attempted to prove the probability of finding a girlfriend in London.  As per article in Asylum ‘Math Geek Comes Up With Equation to Explain His Lack of a Girlfriend’:
