Funny Personal Ads

Now for a lighter look at dating, here are some very funny London Business Review personal ads that a client sent me the other day.  The principle idea is that the LBR readership is too sophisticated and filled with ennui to trot out the usual walks on the beach and sunsets rubbish, hysterical:

whats wrong with online dating sites?

during the week I asked a few questions about online dating sites from people on Aardvark and got some pretty negative responses.  Aardvark is a great site where you can ask questions about anything & get responses either by email or IM.  Its fun & a great way to have conversations, much as I love Twitter, I dont always get responses to questions on Twitter, possibly everyone is too busy trying to sell themselves or something?  After the responses I received, I decided to write a post about whats wrong with online dating sites because it seems they are not listening.  Has that got something to do with the fact that the majority are run by men????

perfect match or equal match?

most people are looking for a perfect match, in business or love, in spite of the fact that we all know that perfection doesn’t really exist.  To start with we are not perfect as individuals, yet some of us expect to find ‘perfect’ in a partner?  And some of us have given up not willing to settle for imperfect?  Try the polls below & let me know your position on this question.

The word perfect is from the Latin perfectus meaning “completed”. It implies that it would be all over if we found a perfect match anyway.

Why Women Love Gentlemen

A friend gave me a copy of ‘Why Men Love Bitches’ to read this week. It is a great book for WOMEN! It propounds, in its own way, my own belief that women have better relationships with men when they develop themselves and become confident and assured in their own lives. Women are very interested in bettering their relationships and often have read, studied and spoken with other women about relationships with men frequently in their lives. It’s sort of like preaching to the converted!

differences between men & women

The differences between men and women are many & varied. Its amazing really that we manage to meet at all and somehow have relationships? Of course the differences are what brings the initial interest and fascination with each other. At the end it is also what drives us crazy about the other! Yin & yang!
