There is a simple rule in relationships which is that at any given moment you can choose between love or power.  Being human its impossible to be perfect (don’t you hate that?) and so impossible to come consistently from either.  However our values will dictate which side we will try to veer towards as much as possible.

are we better or worse if we stay in relationships or marriages, for ‘better or worse’? The great benefit about commitment to another person, is that we feel safe enough to expose more vulnerable aspects of ourselves. This benefits a couple because that allows for more intimacy between the two people. That is the heart of a good relationship!

i introduced my youngest daughter to her husband a few years ago.  I am staying with them this weekend and it is wonderful to see them so happy together.

I like to take lotsa credit for this as initially she was very unsure. I was able to reassure her from an objective perspective as I looked at their astrological relationship (composite) chart. I told her that this relationship would only be positive whatever form it took, i.e. friend or lover. I am touched by the sense of comfort, warmth and consciousness that they share together. This is a wonderful gift for any couple. Its important to have the foundation of a good match together.  Then its important to be willing to grow together.

change can be a challenging, it requires attention and time and effort! Example, when we change countries from UK to the US.  Then we have to pay a lot of attention to what side of the road we are driving or what side of the car to get into? The habit forming part of the brain has to be adjusted and so we have to pay more attention until it becomes part of our habits. Anyone that has traveled knows the shock when we find ourselves driving on the wrong side of the road or opening the wrong car door.
